Tell us a little about yourself!
Answering this type of question feels like I'm writing a personal ad and after 20 years with the same man, I'm woefully out of practice. By day I'm a crime fighter (no really, I am, I just wear a suit and tie like Jack McCoy) by night I'm Papa. I try to find time to write, but it is in increasingly small supply. I like sports, mostly baseball and soccer, black coffee (just not in bed), comic books, playing with my daughter and a good book.

My writing is mostly speculative fiction with some MM Romance tossed in. My goal is to retire before my 3 year old starts first grade and write semi-full time to keep myself busy. I have no plans to quit and make writing as my new full time job so I'd better start saving. :-)

In Thirty Things, Nate and Finn check of a list of 30 things to do before Finn turns 30. What would be on your list?
Visit Australia and New Zealand
Have a kid
Get married
bungee jump
learn to play bagpipes
learn to ride a motorcycle
take a cross country road trip in my jeep with the top down.

Tell us about something you've already checked off your list. Was it everything you thought it would be?
Got Married and Had a kid - sigh - I got so few ticked off before those two lol.

Yes, being able to hold my child (we had her first) was more amazing than I expected and I expected amazing to begin with.

The ability to get married was another pretty amazing feeling - of course thinking for so many years gay marriage would never happen made it more special.

While traveling the country, Finn and Nate visit some amazing places. Where have you been that has stuck with you?
Stonehenge in England
Cadiz Spain
St. Augustine, Florida
Montreal Canada

If you could only do one of the things on your list, which would it be?
Visit Australia and New Zealand.

What items would be on your writing bucket list?
Finish Harp String and Bettor To Lose
Write The Archangel and Dlgen series, Golden Goal and Another Shot. (Whew - that's a lot)

Which books are on your TBR Bucket List?
Too many to mention, seriously not a cop out, I've got 30 on my Nook I've never read, 27 on my iPad and 17 in my Kindle for iPad. I feel bad that I don't get to review things, but at least I've bought them to support my author friends.

Andrew has a new book coming out on April 14th from DSP Publications. This is the second book in the Champion of the Gods series, and it looks fantastic. The cover alone makes me want to buy it, but I know it's going to be an amazing book because The Last Grand Master was soooo good!

The Eye and the Arm - Book II of Champion of the Gods:

After defeating Meglar at Belsport, Farrell returns to Haven to recover from his injuries, but Khron, the god of war, has other ideas. He gives Farrell a new mission: free the survivors of the ancient dwarf realm of Trellham from their three thousand year banishment. To fulfill Khron's near impossible task, Farrell will need the help of his distance ancestor, the legendary wizard Kel. But Kel has been dead for a thousand years.

Farrell finds information hinting that Kel is alive and moves his search to Dumbarten, Kel's birthplace. To reach Dumbarten unannounced, Farrell and Miceral disguise themselves as mercenaries on board a merchant vessel. Their journey is disrupted when pirates attack their ship. While attempting to subdue the attack, Farrell is struck down by one of Meglar’s minions.

Unconscious and trapped in his own mind, Farrell's only chance for survival rests with Miceral and the peregrine king Rothdin entering his thoughts and helping him sort fact from illusion. To reach Farrell, they will need to rely on an untested spell from one of Kel's spellbooks. If they succeed, Miceral can guide Farrell home safely. If not, Farrell will destroy not only himself, but Miceral, Rothdin, and everyone around him.

Well, she won't always be 3 :)... In a few years, why not? You know what they say - create memories while you're younger...OR you could wait until you're over 60,and go cruising with your partner around the world (and visit New Zealand). At least, that's what people tell me when I say I want to go on cruising "Don't go now, what are you going to do when you're sixty years old?" Apparently,it's anathema to go cruising when you're young :)

Andy, I love the cover of this book and so glad to have another story with Farrell in it. Best of luck. Of course, I read First Love and so wish you would consider writing more of that story too. Now for that bucket list, bungee jumping? Yikes!
