I am incredibly excited this week.
A few days ago, I signed a contract with Dreamspinner Press for my eleventh book.
I think I was the most nervous about this book (honestly, I’m nervous about all my books, but this one packed an extra-large whopping pile of anxiety along with it). I was so nervous, it took me more than two years to finally write it.
It’s called Resurrecting Elliot and it's the second book in the Newport Boys Series (Keeping Sweets was Book 1)
When I was writing Keeping Sweets, I loved Bran and Evan, but even more, I loved Colt, and if feedback from certain readers is to be believed, I wasn't the only one. A part of me wishes that I'd written Colt's book right away, before Bran and Evan hit the shelves. But I put it off, feeling like there was so much pressure for this book to live up to expectations. I've had his story line in my head forever, and I could see his guy just as clearly, but I hesitated. I love Colt and I wanted to give him the story he deserved.
I think I managed, and I hope my readers think so too.
Resurrecting Elliot will be available from Dreamspinner Press sometime this summer.
Colt is finally going to get his happily ever after. :)
Here is the completely unofficial blurb:
After witnessing a horrific tragedy, the nightmares and panic attacks have kept Elliot Lawrence prisoner in his own home. Months relying on his sister as his only connection to the world beyond his own walls make Elliot desperate for a sliver of independence. He reaches out in the most innocuous way he can think of: grocery delivery.
Colton Kelly, retired porn star and recent college graduate, is struggling at two minimum wage jobs, trying to make ends meet. During one of his grocery deliveries, he meets Elliot. Although the attraction between them is instant, they must first start on the long road toward putting Elliot back together. When tragedy strikes yet again, Elliot doesn't know if he's strong enough to be the man Colt needs him to be.

Andrew Q. Gordon is here visiting me today to talk about his book The Last Grand Master. I had the privilege of reading this book when it was first released with Dreamspinner Press, and I have to say it was excellent. I don't normally read fantasy novels, but I found myself getting sucked into this one.
Definitely pick up a copy for yourself. You won't regret it.
In a war that shook the earth, the six gods of Nendor defeated their brother Neldin, god of evil. For three thousand years, Nendor and the Seven Kingdoms have known peace and prosperity and Neldin's evil was nearly forgotten.
But then Meglar, wizard king of Zargon, unleashes the dark magic of the underworld and creates an army of creatures to carry out his master's will. One by one, the sovereign realms fall as a new war between the gods threatens to engulf Nendor.
Leading the opposition to Meglar is Grand Master Farrell. Young and untried, Farrell carries a secret that could hold the key to defeating Meglar—or it could destroy the world.
Farrell is joined by Nerti, queen of the unicorns and Miceral, an immortal muchari warrior the Six have chosen as Farrell's mate. As Farrell and his new allies make plans to counter Neldin's evil, Meglar forces their hand when he invades a neighboring kingdom. Rushing to help their ally, Farrell and Miceral find themselves in the middle of the battle. Cut off from help, Farrell attempts an untried spell that will either turn the tide or cost he and Miceral their lives.
